Unchained Vibes Africa is calling on emerging Nigerian artists to submit entries for the Freedom Vibes Contest. The aim of the contest is to create opportunities for emerging artists with interest in democracy to showcase their talents and access local and international opportunities to develop their careers.
Benefits of participating
Winner
- All-expense paid trip (including flight, accommodation and feeding if applicable) to perform at January edition of Freedom Vibes Series scheduled for Saturday 29th January 2022 at Freedom Park in Lagos
- Honorarium payment for performance
- Unchained Vibes branded T-shirt and promotional materials
- Certificate of recognition and exclusive access to share the Freedom Vibes stage with the Artist of the Month (a celebrity that will be honored in recognition of his/her contribution to democracy advocacy in Nigeria)
1st Runner-up
- Honorarium payment for a live performance (if based in Lagos) or pre-recorded performance if based outside Lagos
- Unchained Vibes branded T-shirt and promotional materials
- Certificate of recognition
2nd Runner-up
- Unchained Vibes branded T-shirt and promotional materials
- Certificate of recognition
Eligibility
- Must be an emerging artist based in any part of Nigeria
- Must be between the ages of 18 and 35 (age qualification will be verified)
- Must be either a musician, comedian or spoken word poet
- Content must be original (devoid of copyright infringements)
How to Submit Entry
- Record a one-minute video of yourself performing
- Upload on WeTransfer and generate the video link and send an email with link to the WeTransfer video to info@unchainedvibesafrica.com
Selection Criteria
Entry videos will be uploaded on Unchained Vibes social media pages. Winners will be selected from entries with highest engagements
