Unchained Vibes Africa cordially invites you to Freedom Vibes 7.0 Naija Day aimed at celebrating Nigeria’s diverse cultural heritage. The 2023 general elections in Nigeria have been widely criticized as the most divisive elections since the country’s return to democracy in 1999. Desperate politicians exploited Nigeria’s diversity negatively and weaponized ethnicity in a bid to win elections. As a result, ethnic division has widened and mutual suspicion has worsened among Nigerians.
The Naija Day event is designed to raise awareness about the dangers of ethnic and religious politics, contribute to the healing process, rebuild mutual trust, rekindle the hope for a better Nigeria, celebrate Nigeria’s diversity, and unite citizens in the struggle for good governance. There will be an emphasis on the importance of intercultural understanding and national unity and also spotlight the contemporary arts and cultural expressions from minority ethnic groups with less visibility at national gatherings The event will feature a colorful cultural procession, green carpet interviews, contemporary cultural displays, exhibitions by art and craft vendors, and a concert headlined by leading Nigerian musicians and comedians.
