We produce high-impact documentaries, advocacy videos and digital content that amplify the voices of artists and human rights defenders across Africa.
The Role
We are looking for a creative and highly skilled Video Editor to join our production team immediately. You will be responsible for assembling raw footage, applying artistic touches, and ensuring our visual storytelling aligns with UVA’s mission of social justice and cultural advocacy.
STRICT EMPLOYMENT TERMS
Note to Applicants: This is a Strictly Full-Time position requiring daily physical presence at our office in Lagos. We are NOT looking for freelancers, remote contractors or part-time consultants. Please only apply if you are seeking full-time employment.
Key Responsibilities
- Video Editing: Edit long-form documentaries, short social media clips and event highlights with a high degree of creativity and precision.
- Post-Production: Handle color grading, sound mixing and audio cleaning to ensure broadcast-quality output.
- Motion Graphics: Create engaging titles, lower thirds and basic animations to enhance video content.
- Content Management: Organize and archive raw footage and project files systematically.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional video editing experience (portfolio required).
- Technical Skills: Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
- Location: Candidates MUST be based in Lagos, preferably on the Mainland for easy daily commuting.
- Availability: This role is for immediate employment.
