UVA in Collaboration with Cate/Jabez Place/TDR Designs Presents a Special Green Performance in Celebration of The Green Festival at 20 at LABAF 2025
As part of the 20th Anniversary Celebration of The Green Festival, Unchained Vibes Africa (UVA) in collaboration with Cate and Jabez Place and TDR Designs will present a Special Green Performance titled Soro Soke: 5 Years After Imagining Alternatives – The Green Performance featuring MOOH.
The performance will hold on Friday, November 14, 2025, at The Green Place, Freedom Park, beginning at 1:30 p.m., as part of the Lagos Book and Art Festival (LABAF) 2025, themed “Change: Imagining Alternatives – Using Our Minds to Build Better Futures for Our Beloved Country and Its People.”
The Special Green Performance is one of several highlights marking The Green Festival at 20, a major milestone in promoting environmental consciousness, creativity, and cultural education among young people. The event is designed especially for teens and secondary school students, encouraging them to use art and creativity as peaceful and transformative tools for expression and social change, while deepening their appreciation for freedom, unity, and sustainable living.
Through an immersive blend of music, poetry, and performance art, The Green Performance revisits the spirit of Soro Soke- five years after the phrase became a symbol of youth activism and artistic courage in Nigeria. The presentation seeks to inspire critical thought, artistic engagement, and civic awareness among young audiences.
The Green Performance is not just a show- it is a participatory space where art meets reflection, where young people are encouraged to think critically, express boldly, and envision a freer, more sustainable world.
In the spirit of the celebration, participants and guests are encouraged to add a touch of green to their attire as a symbol of hope, renewal, and environmental harmony.
