Freedom Vibes Academy: Alumni Projects Update
The pre-production phase for the projects of two of our top three graduates from the 2025 Freedom Vibes Academy is now officially complete. With production agreements fully executed, the artists have been mobilized and are ready to begin production.
To mark this milestone, Aisha Sani Lawan, winner of the 2025 Academy Award, visited the UVA office on March 24, 2026. During her visit, she engaged with the UVA team, toured UVA’s Vibes & Thrills Hub and finalized her production logistics. This visit served as a ceremonial exercise, symbolizing the official launch of the production phase.
Project Overview: Currently in Production
- Her Right by Aisha Sani Lawan (Winner, 2025 Freedom Vibes Academy Award): A powerful spoken-word project advocating for girl-child education and rights in Kano.
- Memory of a Common History by Ahmad Mubarak Tanimu (1st Runner-Up, 2025 Freedom Vibes Academy Award): A compelling documentary aimed at engaging Muslim youths and promoting deradicalization across Northern Nigeria.
